The RI conducted an invitation-only one-day seminar in Athens (Greece), hosted
by Tradelink CEO and Greece's RI Representative Petros Constantinidis. Participants
included Charles Fombrun, Cees van Riel, and Kasper Nielsen. Joy Sever (Harris
Interactive) and Francesco Ciccolella (former head of global branding for LEGO)
also presented to a group of some 60 executives of Greek and international companies. |

2004. The day-long event was hosted by Denmark's RI Representative Majken
Schultz and the RI Consulting Group's Kasper Nielsen at Copenhagen Business School.

RI Nordic released the topline results of its first survey of the reputations
of Sweden's most visible companies on May 10, 2004. Invited participants
joined a seminar hosted by Swedish RI Representative Tony Aperia with Stockholm
University. RI Consulting Group's Nicolas Trad presented an analysis of
the results. RI Executive Director Charles Fombrun discussed the findings
of his recent book
Fame & Fortune and described patterns demonstrated by top rated companies
in four countries. |

IBM, Factiva, and the Reputation Institute jointly hosted a
forum for senior corporate communications professionals on May 4, 2004.
The invitation-only event featured a variety of presentations by senior executives
from MCI, the Pew Charitable Trust, and Harris Interactive. Reporter Julia
Hood of PR Week moderated a panel of executives that included representatives
of FedEx, Wells Fargo, Altria, and Johnson & Johnson. The RI's Charles
Fombrun & Paul Argenti addressed the assembled group of 30 participants at

1st Reputation Forum in South Africa in Johannesburg on February 26, 2004.
In addition to RI founders Charles Fombrun and Cees van Riel, participants included

The annual IABC Delahaye Research and Measurement Conference was held in
NYC on November 20-21, 2003. Among the speakers were Delahaye CEO Mark Weiner, RI Executive Director Charles
Fombrun, and a variety of corporate participants. The previous conference
was held on November 7-8, 2002. |

The first
Annual American Business Awards were held on April 30, 2003 at the ballroom
of the Sheraton Hotel in New York. The gala event was attended by over 500
representatives of leading companies from all over the United States. Awards
were given in numerous categories and awardees were selected by a judge's panel
after review from an open nominations process. Charles Fombrun presented
the Reputation
Institute's 1st Stellar Reputation Award to Johnson & Johnson,
based on J&J's consistent results on Annual RQ surveys 1999-2002. Willard
