The Reputation Institute and the Foro de Reputacion Corporativa are pleased to invite you to participate in the first European Forum on Corporate Reputation to be held in Spain: The Building Blocks of Corporate Reputation and Public Trust, Converting character to Currency using Cutting-Edge Reputation Measurement, Management, and Strategy.

The conference will feature the contributions of leading practitioners from their vantage point as managers and advisors to some of the world's best-regarded companies. The issues that will be probed during conference sessions include the following:

  • How are corporate reputations measured? How do you know where you stand with your different constituencies?
  • Who should you talk to and how much? How much communication with the public is enough, and how do you know when it's too little?
  • How do you assess the reputational risks that companies face from unexpected technological developments, executive misdeeds, or regulatory systems?
  • How are changing political circumstances throughout Europe affecting the reputations of companies in France, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom?
  • Are workplace issues and social responsibility likely to remain lasting components of reputation-building strategies?
  • What kinds of structural changes to processes of corporate governance are leading companies implementing to safeguard against the kinds of reputational risks that have affected U.S. companies like Enron and Worldcom?
  • Which companies are best-regarded around the world? The Global RQ Project.
  • Which companies are best-regarded in Spain? The 3rd annual MERCO results.

Format: The conference opens on Thursday, March 6th at 9:00 and concludes on Friday March 7th at 14:00 after the closing luncheon. Eight presenter and panel sessions are planned, as well as three keynote addresses. Participants will have the opportunity to interact informally during coffee breaks, two luncheon sessions, and an evening event on Thursday March 6th.

Content: The conference will be of particular interest to senior executives concerned with improving their understanding of how reputations develop and how they can be measured and managed. Over the 2 days of the conference, we will hear thoughtful discussions from seasoned practitioners and observers, focused particularly around the role that effective corporate governance structures can play in enhancing public trust and safeguard a company's reputational capital. In the process, participants can expect to develop a deeper understanding about how corporate reputations are constructed, valued, destroyed, recreated, and managed.

Registration: The conference fee is € 750, and includes coffee breaks, luncheons, and an evening event.
